Well, if anyone had any doubts about the popularity of Apple’s highly esteemed OS X, they certainly won’t any longer.  They sold over one million copies on the day it was released – online.  One million 3.5 GB downloads in less then 24 hours is really quite something to think about – 3.5 million GB (3,500 TB) in bandwidth – in one day! To anyone who knows anything about running web servers this ought to make your your jaw drop.  The popularity of this release has sold faster then any other release in the company’s history, which definitely lends more weight to Apple’s “best OS we’ve ever made” statement.
